I bring a variety of experiences to my job as the “Enhancer” at Stepping Stones. My “Work Purpose Statement” is: To identify situations where the flow of energy is being blocked and to create an environment that would enhance the movement of the pieces to form a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts and is beneficial to all the pieces and the community.
When I was working as an Employment Counsellor/Program Officer for Service Canada for over 26 years and came into contact with Stepping Stones Consulting and Jim Niemi and the ICS process I quickly realized that this is the program that I have been looking for to help people embrace the need for change. The energy for lasting change must happen from within, it cannot be imposed.
All my background and training has given me the skills and understanding necessary for my next step: Bilingual so I’m aware of the nuances in the meaning of words; Teacher so I know how to identify needs and learning styles so I can present information so it can be understood and assimilated; Counselor so I can help deal with the emotional attachments to words, memories and behaviors; Artist so I can help create different expressions of the energy flow; Bookkeeper/Agreement Manager so I can manage the resources necessary to provide the most efficient process.
I am grateful for the opportunity to express my essence through my work with Stepping Stones Consulting.
I have enjoyed the following: Singing in a choir and solo, playing guitar, drawing and painting, enjoy gardening, have parachuted. Have travelled to California, Mass., Oregon, Las Vegas, Montreal, all over BC, Florida, Barbados, Virgin Islands. Played badminton and table tennis and slow ball, have enjoyed biking and cross country skiing, enjoy most card games – bridge, chess, and jigsaw puzzles, have been involved in theatre as an actor, director – all facets. Have enjoyed taking a house that was built in 1927 and basically renovating it from the ground up. I enjoy creating something beautiful and finding elegant solutions to problems.
